Johnny's Hamburgers.

johnny's... After running into the mobs of people lining up for the free Mandarin Buffet, we decided to skip out on that and headed to Johnny's Hamburgers. Not to be confused with John Anderson Hamburgers, Johnny's is another local burger joint in Scarborough that also serves charcoal broiled hamburgers. We went around 1 pm and it was pretty busy (maybe because it was Canada Day) and there were 4 or 5 employees busy taking orders or grilling up the burgers.

The prices here are decent as a normal single patty hamburger here goes for $2.95 + tax. Clearly a single patty burger is not enough for me(I mean, I ate a freaking 72 oz steak
before.lol), so I had to get an extra patty for $1.50 extra. I also got some onion rings ($2.05) to go with my double burger. The burger was pretty big and left me satisfied and filled. In terms of taste, I enjoyed the big juicy burger, although it would be better if they grilled it for longer to get more of that charred taste that makes charcoal broiled/ grilled burgers so tasty. The onion rings were pretty standard, but for $2, I probably would pay a little more and just get 2 burgers instead next time. For toppings, they did not have lettuce, which was kind of weird, but they did have cooked onions (in addition to regular onions, tomatoes, pickles, relish, mayo, mustard, ketchup), which tasted awesome on the burger.
Johnny's Hamburgers is a great place to grab some reasonably priced burgers that will definitely fill you up. In terms of taste for a local burger joint, I think John Anderson's is better as they seem to have more of that charcoal grilled taste, but in terms of value and quantity, Johnny's is better. Johnny's Hamburgers is a small stand alone orange building at the corner of Victoria Park and Sheppard (2595 Victoria Park Avenue). They don't offer any seats inside, but if its a nice day, many people eat their burgers outside on park benches right behind their building. They have parking available around the building as well.
