Turbo Lounge.

turbo... Along with all the Korean bars and restaurants that lie on Yonge street in North York is Turbo, a small Korean owned bar with modern decor that is packed on weekends. It's a pretty chill place where you can just go to kick it and like many... get really drunk. They serve a variety of Korean dishes, but this place is more well known as a bar where people order pitchers of beer in the form of mini beer towers with an ice compartment separate from the beer. These mini towers are ~$20 each and have about 1.5 L of beer in them (selection of beer off the top of my head: Canadian, Keiths, etc.). Although it is not the cheapest place, Turbo is packed on the weekends with a mostly younger asian crowd that reflects the area. Each table gets a free plate of appetizers as well, which is great to have while drinking. The appetizer plate includes salad, edamame beans, a couple of slices of Salmon and Snapper sashimi, spicy kimchi type salad and a macaroni salad. In addition to beer, I usually grab bottles of Soju (Korean rice wine, ~$14.99/bottle). The last time I went there I also ordered fries ($4.50) and for some reason, their fries are mad crispy and hella delicious (I think they are made from the frozen Cavendish ones).

Quick Notes: Turbo's walls are also lined with big Flat Screen TVs that usually show basketball games. Even though they are not very busy during the week, they do have TSN 2 (the stupid channel that Rogers does not carry and that 1/4 of the Raptors games are shown on). During the warmer months, they also have a pretty nice patio in the back, and also a huge projector, which is often used to show big games. If you want to hit this place up on weekends, expect wait times. Turbo is located in North York on the West Side of Yonge, South of Finch. It is right next to the Oh Geul Boh Geul and Owl of Minerva Restaurants.
