T & T Late Night Takeout.

takeout dinner... We made a trip out to the T & T supermarket because it was pretty late (around 11 pm) and we wanted some cheap takeout food (non fast food). At the end of the night (I think after 9 pm), they drop their prices on most of their takeout food. This strategy by the store definitely works, as there are many people crowding in the store grabbing whatever is left for some dirt cheap prices. The first thing you see entering the store is the sushi section, which was mostly cleared out by customers trying to capitalize on some end of the day sushi deals. I managed to grab a box of assorted sushi which included 1 Shrimp Sushi, 1 Salmon Sushi, 1 Abalone Sushi, 1 Crab salad sushi, 2 Crab Salad roll pieces and 2 Salmon Roll Pieces. The box came out to $1.99 (before tax)! It is some pretty decent sushi an for that price, it is a sick deal! Obviously this is not enough for dinner, so I also grabbed a ready to eat Curry Chicken Rice Bowl, which has a bunch of vegetables and chicken with curry sauce. This thing is pretty big and for the end of the night price of $3.50 (before tax), quantity:price ratio is definitely off the charts. The rice bowl is nothing special at all, but the price is the selling point.
Quick Notes: The regular price for the Sushi box is either $3.99 or $4.99 and the curry chicken rice bowl is $3.99. There is also the option of Curry Pork Cutlet Rice Bowl, but my friend who had it was not too impressed. For these dirt cheap prices, you cannot complain though. T & T closes at 12 am, so its a good place to drop by later in the night to grab some cheap takeout food if you don't feel like cooking at home. It is located in the plaza at the North West corner at Warden/ Steeles. As a side note, I noticed that the Melona Bars were on sale for $4.50/ box of 8 (not sure how long this deal will last though).
