Madina Halal Pizza.

pizza... For the past month, I've been working as a student teacher at Eastern Commerce CI at Danforth and Donlands. There are plenty of random restaurants around the area (especially on the Danforth) and after talking to students, Madina Halal Pizza (or Madina's) is a pretty popular place to go for a cheap pizza lunch. At lunch time, there are many students from the area who crowd this place for their cheap yet very tasty pizza.
I've been here a couple times and their usual selection of slices include Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Deluxe (pepperoni and green peppers) and Vegetarian. The pizza is always fresh, mainly because of the high turnover of customers since this place is so busy at lunch. This place also doesn't have any pork in their pizza. I think the pepperoni in their pizza is beef pepperoni. For their Hawaiian slices, instead of ham, they use ground beef. The ground beef also has some kind of sauce in it that tastes really good. The slices are quite thin and are really good when they come out fresh. They also serve fried chicken, although I haven't tried it yet.
Madina's is located on the north side of Danforth in between Greenwood and Donlands (
1078 Danforth Ave). The following are their combos which are the best deals to get for lunch(1 Slice of Pizza by itself is $1.50):
  • 2 Slices of Pizza and a pop (or bottled water): $3.50
  • 1 Slice of Pizz and a pop (or bottled water): $2.25
