7-Eleven: Free Doritos Chips + Free Slurpees.

free doritos!... 7-Eleven is giving out free samples of their unreleased Doritos 3rd Degree Burn Tortilla Chips today (May 17, 2012).  As long as you're 17 or older (not sure how they picked this random age), you can head into any 7-11 location in Canada and grab a sample, while quantities last.  The bags are small at 16 gram bags- half the size of their usual snack sizes by weight, but they are FREE! 

7-eleven is also giving away free slurpees next Wednesday, May 23, 2012 as part of their SlurpFREE day promo. First 1000 guests at 7-11 locations across Canada between 11 am- 7 pm will recieve a free 7.11 Oz Slurpee. 

Ten Ren's Tea (Empress Walk)

bubble tea... After all these posts, I haven't posted once about bubble tea because I haven't been to a bubble tea place in months. I was looking for a place that we could grab some dinner, while still being able to chill out for longer, so we headed over to Ten Ren's at Empress. Ten Rens is mainly known as a place mainly for bubble tea as they have a long extensive menu of different bubble tea drinks, but we also got some food as we were all starving.

Each of us got one of their set rice meals (all are $8.49 + tax/tip, and additional cost to change the drink to a more expensive drink). Each meal comes with a soup, 2 small appetizers (kimchi, cold bean sprouts), a bowl of rice, meat dish and a small cold green or black tea. Between the four of us, we tried the Deep Fried Spiced Chicken and Curry Beef Meals. The food was nothing special at all. The curry beef was just basic curry beef and the deep fried spiced chicken could have been much crispier.
Drinks on the other hand are what this place is known for and 3 of us paid extra to upgrade the drinks to the following: large honey dew slush, large mango slush and large milk tea. Each of these drinks run for about $5-$6 regular price, so they definitely are not cheap, but they look and taste awesome. In addition to this, you can chill at Ten Rens for a long time (same concept as Starbucks- pay premium prices for drinks and chill for hours.lol). Over their drinks are good and the environment is nice to just chill with some friends. In terms of food, it's not really good, so I wouldn't really recommend eating at this Ten Rens location.
It is located beside the Staples at Yonge and Empress with the entrance on Empress. The closest TTC subway station is North York Centre.

7-Eleven Slurpee Day.

slurpee... Today is July 11, 2009, which means that 7- Eleven is holding its annual 7- Eleven Day and is giving out FREE slurpees all day today. My brothers just went around 3 am to get the first batch of free slurpees and from what I saw, they got free small sized slurpees. Find a location near you on their site.

Timothy's Coffee- Choco Chill Coupon.

choco chill... I saw an ad on Facebook about joining the Timothy's Fan Page to get a coupon for a free Choco Chill drink, so I joined the fan page. The coupon is actually for 1 Free Choco Chill with the purchase of any regular priced Choco Chill (expires July 10, 2009). Since I joined the fan page, you can just print off the coupon here or click the picture for coupon, instead of going through Facebook. I think a regularly priced Choco Chill drink is ~$2.50.

Tasty House.

cold drinks... It's the summer time now and its been pretty hot lately, so one of the best things to get while you are out are some cold refreshing drinks. One of my favourite places to go is Tasty House inside of the First Markham Place food court. This place is often busy with people lining up to grab some bubble tea or random drinks such as fresh fruit juice. They also serve some small food items like sandwiches and crepes.

My favourite thing to get here is the Mango and Coconut Milk with Sago Drink ($3.49 + tax). They mix mango juice with coconut milk and within the drink are little sago pearls and chunks of mango (you can also choose to get tapioca instead of sago). You can only get this drink in large size as well, which is really good for the price compared to other bubble tea like drinks. Before you enjoy the tasty drink, it is key to shake it up vigorously, so that you get to enjoy all the sago and mango chunks with each sip. Tasty House is located in the food court of First Markham Place (3255 Highway 7 East, Markham) at Woodbine and Highway 7. They also have a location inside of Market Village (Kennedy and Steeles).
