A few days ago, I received a mystery box in the mail! When I opened the package, I immediately recognized the McDonald’s® logo on the wrapping paper, and was hoping they sent me a Big Mac as I was pretty hungry (McNuggets would have been good too!). To my surprise, the box contained some very random items: French Fry gloves, a selfie stick and an invitation to the launch party for #THENEXTLEGEND. I was very confused, but very intrigued. As a long-time McDonald’s customer and fan, I have often contemplated new items that should be added to the menu or even retro items that need to be brought back (McPizza!).
The day after I received the mystery box, I headed to the secret location for the McDonald’s party! There was security at the door and a guest list... not your typical McDonald’s experience. We were told to relax, have a good time and more importantly, that the newest McDonald’s product would be unveiled soon. Most of the people who attended the event were McDonald’s super fans. We enjoyed some fancy snacks, free flowing cocktails and beer (in typical McD fashion, free refills LOL). Speaking with some of the super fans, many were speculating the new product would be a new burger or low calorie healthy item. My guess was that the new item would be Fish Tacos... Filet-O-Fish Tacos to be exact. I even pitched this item to the head of McDonald’s menu development! Make it happen!
The wall that made up one side of the room was actually a large curtain that was pulled away to reveal a fancy, fine-dining restaurant set-up and their new product, the CBO® sandwich! Behind the curtain was also a ridiculously large cake made to look exactly like the new CBO to celebrate the launch. The CBO stands for Chicken, Bacon, Onion and it is originally a product found at McDonald’s in France. McDonald’s Canada took the CBO concept and adjusted the flavour for the Canadian market to have bacon in every bite! We were seated at candle lit tables with satin table cloths... it was truly a McDonald’s fine dining experience.
McDonald’s crew then brought out plates with the CBO sandwich + fresh McDonald’s French fries and you could see the smiles on everyone’s faces, knowing that they would be among the first in Canada to try the CBO. The CBO sandwich consisted of toasted artisan-style sesame and onion bun with crispy seasoned chicken breast topped with hickory-smoked bacon, leaf lettuce, crispy onions, creamy onion and black pepper sauce. The first bite I took was very satisfying, especially after all the anticipation. The CBO was delicious and definitely a more premium sandwich than the McChicken. The onion bun and onion pepper sauce really stand out and each bite is accompanied with a smoky bacon flavour. If you try the new CBO, let me know what you think of it. Stay tuned, as I will be holding a contest for some fun McDonald’s giveaways to celebrate the launch of the CBO. #THENEXTLEGEND

i think a lot of the people they invited tweet them alot...McDonald's Canada is pretty active on twitter and instagram, so tag them in any McDonald's related posts! including your McDonald's reviews on your blog!
I think it's unprofessional for a physio to be promoting junk food. See sections 1(e), 2(b), and possibly section 7 of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario document "Standard for Professional Practice - Advertising", which is available online here: http://www.collegept.org/Assets/website/registrants'guideenglish/standards_framework/standards_practice_guides/StandardAdvertising.pdf
